Robert Wiskind, MD

After growing up in Ohio, Bob Wiskind arrived in Atlanta in 1984 to attend medical school at Emory. If he had not met his wife, Anne, here he would probably have returned to Ohio; but as a Tallahassee native she did not want to go further north, so they stayed in Atlanta.
After completing Pediatrics training at Emory he has been in private practice in Atlanta since 1992, joining East Cobb Pediatrics in 2026.
His son, Sam, daughter-in-law Sarah and granddaughter Charlotte, live in Atlanta while his daughter, Claire and wife Kate live in London. Anne is a retired Gynecologist.
His involvement in Pediatrics outside the office began with work on breastfeeding promotion. This led to serving on the Board of the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, then terms as Vice-President and President of the Georgia AAP. He is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of The Children’s Care Network, a clinically integrated network for Pediatrics in Atlanta and welcomes the opportunity to impact the
health of children on a large scale, working to ensure that Pediatricians will continue to be able to take care of children and their families. The Wiskinds are big sports fans and have enjoyed attending numerous college and professional events. Highlights have included Wimbledon, the British Open, the Masters, the Final Four, the College World Series, a Super Bowl and watching Florida State win the National Championship. In 2015, Dr. Wiskind crossed off an item on his “bucket list” by playing in the World Series of Poker. He has also shaved his head three times in St. Baldrick’s events, raising more than $11,000 for childhood cancer research.
