Our Policies

Committed to a positive experience

At East Cobb Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care for your children and fostering a safe and welcoming environment for every patient, guardian, and visitor.

Our policies are designed to enhance the experience for everyone in our care. We want to ensure that each child receives the attention and quality of care they deserve, as well as create a safe workplace for our staff.

Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated, as they help us maintain a standard of excellence in pediatric healthcare. We require all patients/guardians to complete our code of conduct before being seen at our practice.

To ensure quality care for all patients, we request that you communicate any specific issues you wish to discuss with the doctor when scheduling your appointment. This allows us to allocate an appropriate amount of time. Failure to do so may necessitate an additional visit to provide the necessary care.

We value your time and that of other patients. Please make every effort to arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, please call ahead so that we can make proper adjustments in the clinic flow. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling, as it impacts the designated time for subsequent appointments and contributes to longer wait times for everyone.

We appreciate your timely notification of appointment cancellations. We understand that unexpected situations can occur, and we kindly ask that you inform us promptly so we can arrange a reschedule and accommodate another patient. This fee structure is in place for missed appointments and late cancellations to ensure fair scheduling.

A $50 fee applies to missed well visits, physicals, parent consults, and medication checks. The fee also applies if the specified visit is not canceled with at least 24-hours’ notice.

A $25 fee applies to missed pre-booked sick visits and pre-booked sick follow-up visits. The fee also applies if the specified visit is not canceled with at least 1-hour notice.

Frequent missed appointments may lead to dismissal from East Cobb Pediatrics.

For patients below age 16, we require a parent or responsible adult to attend all appointments. This is necessary to obtain legal consent for procedures, treatments, and vaccinations. A designated responsible party form must be completed in cases where a parent cannot be present. Starting at 16, we can see them without a guardian so long as proper documentation has been completed.

Co-pays and/or deductibles are expected to be settled at the time of service, regardless of the accompanying party. Failure to do so may result in appointment rescheduling.

To ensure the safety of all children, we kindly request that you prevent them from climbing on the furniture in our waiting area.

While we respect differences in beliefs and opinions, East Cobb Pediatrics will not compromise on our adherence to vaccine guidelines outlined by the AAP and CDC. We require all patients to be vaccinated according to this schedule unless there is a very rare medical contraindication to vaccines. In such cases, exceptions will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

East Cobb Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all patients, guardians, visitors, and staff. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and disability.
