We understand that health doesn’t adhere to a schedule. Sometimes, questions and concerns arise when the sun goes down. With our 24/7 phone answering service, we’re committed to your child’s health and well-being – no matter the time.

Reaching Us After Hours

Here’s what to do if you need assistance after 5 pm Monday through Thursday, 4 pm on Friday, or over the weekend.

  • Call your usual office

    Call the number of the office where your child is usually seen. Our answering service will be there to take your call.

  • Wait for a call back

    A nurse from the Advice Line at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, specially trained for phone triage, will promptly call you back. Your call should be answered within one hour, or if it’s urgent, even sooner.

  • Speak with a healthcare provider

    The Advice Line nurses follow established protocols to address your questions and can manage many of your children’s issues over the phone. If, in rare cases, they can’t provide answers or believe your child needs after-hours care, our on-call provider will be notified to contact you directly.
