Shefali Chheda, M.D.
After graduating with a Cum Laude in Biology from Boston University, Dr. Chheda received her MD in 1996 from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed a residency in pediatrics in 1999 also at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. Since moving to the Atlanta area in 1999, she has worked as a pediatrician in Carrollton and most recently with WellStar in Hiram. Dr. Chheda received her Board Certification in Pediatrics in 1999 and her re-certification in 2007 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Chheda’s areas of special interest include asthma and obesity prevention as well as general pediatrics.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, Dhruv and Ronan. She volunteers with the Raksha-South Asian Women’s Domestic Violence Program and also enjoys reading, photography and pottery.
